Man faces 14 drug-and-gun-related charges, Bertnell "Alkatraz" Bellamy, 36, Drugs, loaded firearm and car seized

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a drug-and-firearm investigation.
It is alleged that:
- on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at approximately 7 p.m., plainclothes officers saw a drug transaction occurring in a car in the St. Jamestown neighbourhood
- the officers arrested the driver and seized 14 grams of crack cocaine
As a result of this investigation, on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, two search warrants were executed in the Cosburn Avenue/Pape Avenue, and Main Street/Danforth Avenue areas.
It is further alleged that the following was seized:
- a .45 calibre semi-automatic handgun, loaded with five rounds
- 850 grams of ketamine
- 75 grams of crack cocaine
- 12 grams of powder cocaine
- 10 grams of MDMA
- a 2009 Lexus sedan
Bertnell "Alkatraz" Bellamy, 36, of Toronto, is charged with:
1) Careless storage of a firearm
2) Unauthorized possession of a firearm
3) Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
4) Possession of firearm contrary to prohibition order
5) Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition
6) Possession of a firearm obtained by the commission of an offence
7) Weapons dangerous
8) two counts of Contravention of storage regulations under Firearms Act
9) Possession of ammunition contrary to prohibition order
10) two counts of Possession for the purpose - cocaine
11) Possession for the purpose - controlled substance Schedule I and II
12) Possession for the purpose - controlled substance Schedule III
He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, in courtroom 101, on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at 2 p.m.
