The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance locating a missing man.

James Taggart, 67, was last seen on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, in the Parliament Street and Carlton Street area.

He is described as 5'9", 170 lbs., grey hair mostly balding, clean shaven, prescription glasses and walks with a cane. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue shorts and white runners.

The Toronto Police service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing woman.

Anastasiya Shcherbak, 30, was last seen on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, in the Church Street and Lombard Street area.

She is described as 5'9", slim build, with light brown to blonde hair.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Officer Assault, Dangerous Driving and Resisting Arrest Investigation, Man arrested and facing 13 charges

The Toronto Police Service is advising the public of an arrest and thirteen charges laid against a suspect who allegedly assaulted a police officer and briefly stole a police car, among other acts.

On Saturday, May 23, 2020, at approximately 7:45 p.m., it was reported that a car was speeding in the Eastern Avenue and Coxwell Avenue area.

It is alleged:

- police intervened and attempted to stop a black 2017 four-door Ford Fusion but the driver didn’t stop

- police discontinued the pursuit in the interest of public safety

- the vehicle was then involved in a collision and drove into the display window of a store near Queen Street East and Jarvis Street

- the vehicle burst into flames

- an officer arrived on scene and ran to the burning car to provide aid to the driver. However, the driver, who is the suspect, had already exited the car

- the suspect then got into the responding officer’s car and drove away from the scene

- officers pursued and made several attempts to stop the car

- again, police discontinued the pursuit

- the vehicle stopped several minutes later on Harbord Street

- an officer approached the suspect to apprehend him

- the suspect resisted, a struggle ensued and the suspect assaulted the officer

- more officers arrived on scene and the man was arrested and taken in to custody

- no injuries to the public or further injuries to police officers were reported

On Saturday, May 23, 2020, Cosmin Radulet, 43, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1. Dangerous Operation
2. Dangerous Operation
3. Flight from Police
4. Dangerous Operation
5. Fail to Remain
6. Theft of Motor Vehicle
7. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
8. Mischief Over $5000
9. Dangerous Operation
10. Flight from Police
11. Assault with a Weapon
12. Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest
13. Assault Peace Officer

He appeared in court at Old City Hall, on Sunday, May 24.

Investigators are urging anyone with dash-cam footage, cellphone video, or who witnessed the vehicle, to please contact them.

Brian Chakasim, 51, was last seen Friday, May 22, 2020 at 10:54 p.m. in the Berkeley Street and Dundas Street East area.

He is described as 6'0", long black and grey hair past his shoulders. Possibly wearing light blue shirt with light blue jeans.

Police are concerned for his safety.
