One suspect still outstanding

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made in a theft of motor vehicle investigation.
It is alleged that:
- on Tuesday, July 19, 2023, an unknown suspect attended the King Street East and River Street area
- the suspect entered a vehicle not belonging to them, started the ignition and drove away from the area
- the suspect then drove the vehicle to a parking lot and met the accused
- the accused took possession of the vehicle and moved it to another location
Investigators were able to identify the accused who was involved in the theft. The vehicle has since been recovered.
A second suspect remains outstanding.
On Thursday, July 13, 2023, a Criminal Code Search Warrant was executed at a residential address and the accused was located inside.
Alexandra Sandy Kottaras, 47, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Mischief – Damage Property Over $5000
She was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Friday, July 14, at 10 a.m., in room 106.
