The 109th annual Santa Claus Parade will take place on Sunday, November 17, 2013, at 12:30 p.m.

Approximate road closure times associated with the parade are as follows:

8 a.m.: Bloor Street West, from Ossington Avenue to Christie Street
10 a.m.: Bloor Street West, from Christie Street to Bathurst Street
10:45 a.m.: Bloor Street West, from Bathurst Street to Bay Street
10:45 a.m.: Avenue Road /Queen's Park, from Davenport Road to College Street
11 a.m.: University Avenue, from College Street to Dundas Street
11:15 p.m.: University Avenue, from Dundas Street to Front Street
11:30 p.m.: Wellington Street, from University Avenue to Jarvis Street
11:45 p.m.: Front Street, from Bay Street to Jarvis Street

The towing of vehicles parked along the parade route will start at 6 a.m., on Sunday, November 17, 2013.

At noon, the first-ever "Holly Jolly 5km Fun Run" will take place along the parade route. For the safety of runners and parade attendees, spectators are asked to ensure that children and all personal belongings are off the roadway as of 11:50 a.m.

The parade will start at 12:30 p.m., and will proceed along the following route:


START Bloor Street West and Christie Street
EASTBOUND Bloor Street West
SOUTHBOUND Queen's Park Crescent East
SOUTHBOUND University Avenue
EASTBOUND Wellington Street West
EASTBOUND Front Street East
FINISH Front Street East and Jarvis Street

Motorists travelling in the area can expect significant delays, and should use alternate routes around the parade route.

Spectators attending the parade are advised to use public transportation. All subway and streetcar service will be running.

The duration of the parade is approximately 2.5 hours, and will take place regardless of weather conditions.
