Boy, 15, arrested in school with fully loaded firearm, Faces eight charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a firearm investigation.

It is alleged that:

- as a result of an investigation, police attended Jarvis Collegiate Institute on Friday, November 1, 2013, at approximately 1:15 p.m.

- police arrested a 15-year-old boy, in a classroom, who had on him a fully loaded, semi-automatic firearm

The boy, who cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:

1) Unauthorized possession of a firearm
2) Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
3) Possession of restricted firearm with ammunition
4) Possess firearm - serial number altered
5) Careless storage - ammunition
6) Careless storage of a firearm
7) Weapons dangerous
8) Carry concealed weapon

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at 9 a.m.,
