Police seek assistance in a Person with a knife investigation, Yonge/ Bloor Subway Station, Security camera images of wanted man released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with a person with a knife investigation which occurred at the Yonge and Bloor subway station.
It is reported that:
- on Sunday, August 18, 2019, at 2:47 p.m., a man, a passenger on board a TTC subway train, began yelling and swearing, and pacing around the subway car
- the man then pulled a large kitchen knife from a duffel bag and continued pacing about
- other passengers on the train notified TTC officials who called police
- the man placed the knife back into the duffel bag and fled the train and the subway station before officers arrived
The man is described as 5’10”, with a thin build, and straight, black hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt with “Canada” written on the front, black, knee-length shorts and white, flip-flop sandals. He was also carrying a black duffel bag.
If seen, do not approach. Call 911.
