Arrest in two TTC collector robberies, Mohamed Nur Hassan, 56

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in the Robbery of two TTC collectors.
On Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at 5:30 p.m., a TTC collector, 38, was working inside the Wellesley Street subway station.
It is alleged that:
- a man approached the collector booth
- the man made a demand for money, making threats towards the collector
- the man obtained money and fled the station
On Friday, October 31, 2014, at 7:15 p.m., a collector, 45, was working inside the Rosedale subway station.
It is alleged that:
- he was approached by a man
- the man made a demand for money
- the man obtained money and fled the station
- TTC security officers were in the vicinity
- the man was observed and arrested shortly afterward by them and turned over to Hold Up officers.
Mohamed Nur Hassan, 56, of Toronto, has been charged with:
1) two counts of Robbery
2) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at 10 a.m.
