On Friday, February 8, 2019, at 1:54 a.m., officers responded to a call for a shooting at 366 Queen Street East.
Officer arrived on scene to find a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
He has been identified as Jaunoi Christian, 24, of Brampton.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled for Saturday, February 9, 2019.
A man was seen running from the scene. He is described as black, 6'0", mid 30s, with a medium build. He was wearing a blue and white toque, dark-coloured jacket and blue jeans.
Investigators are interested in speaking with anyone who may have been in the area or who may have taken video or pictures surrounding the time of this incident.
