Man wanted in an Assault investigation, Bloor- Yonge Subway Station

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance identifying a man wanted in an Assault occurrence.
It is reported that:
- on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, a man exited the Bloor-Yonge subway
- as he made his way approximately one block south of the intersection, an unknown man approached him from behind and struck him in the head with a hammer
- the attack was unprovoked
- the man received non-life-threatening injuries
The suspect is described as 5'9", 45-60 years old, with a large build, and a thick white/black beard. He was wearing a black toque, black winter jacket, and carrying a black backpack.
Security camera images have been released.
