Personal injury collision #39/2017, Dundas Street East, east of Sherbourne Street

On Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at 4:05 a.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision.
It is reported that:
- a woman, 45, for reasons not yet determined, stepped onto Dundas Street East, east of Sherbourne Street and lay down on the roadway
- a light-coloured minivan was eastbound on Dundas Street East, east of Sherbourne Street
- the driver of the minivan was able to avoid striking the woman
- a dark-coloured sport utility vehicle (SUV) was eastbound on Dundas Street East, east of Sherbourne Street, and struck the woman
The woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver and vehicle are currently sought in relation to this collision. The driver may not have been aware that a woman was struck. Police are requesting anyone who was in the area at approximately 4:05 a.m., and was driving either of these vehicles, to contact police.
