Man, 32, faces 12 charges in Arson investigation, Downtown Toronto

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in an Arson investigation.
It is alleged that:
- on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at 4 a.m., officers responded to the Mutual Street and Gould Street area for a garbage can on fire
It is further alleged that:
- on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at 4:22 a.m., officers responded to the Yonge Street and Gerrard Street East area for a garbage can fire near a laneway
It is further alleged that:
- on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at 4:49 a.m., officers responded to the Bay Street and Hagerman Street area for church doors on fire
It is further alleged that:
- on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at 5:03 a.m., officers responded to the Dalhousie Street and Shuter Street area for a mattress on fire
It is further alleged that:
- on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at 5:11 a.m., officers responded to the George Street and Gerrard Street East area for two large blue bins on fire
It is further alleged that:
- on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at 5:15 a.m., officers responded to the Gerrard Street East and Jarvis Street area for a garbage bin on fire
On Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at 5:19 a.m., Jordan Omar Cuthbert, 32, of Toronto, was arrested. He was charged with:
1) six counts of Arson
2) five counts of Mischief Under $5000
3) Mischief Over $5000
He was scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Wednesday, August 23, 2017.
