The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance locating a woman wanted in a Fail-to-Remain collision investigation.
On Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at approximately 8:45 a.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Parliament Street and Winchester Street.
It is reported that:
− a 11-year-old girl was attempting to cross Parliament Street, on the south side of Winchester Street
− a woman driving a Acura TL, northbound on Parliament Street, collided with the child as she attempted to cross the road
− the child was knocked to the ground
− the woman exited the vehicle, then got in to a verbal dispute with a witness who was sitting in a wheelchair on the southeast corner of the intersection
− the woman returned to her vehicle, making no attempt to speak to, or assist, the child who had been struck
- the woman also failed to surrender any information to the child
- the child was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
- the driver of the Acura TL is now wanted for failing to remain at the scene of an accident
- she is described as white, 30-40, medium build, with reddish-blonde shoulder-length hair, wearing a light-green jacket, dark pants and driving a white, four-door 2004-2006 Acura TL.
Police are also seeking the man who was seated in a wheelchair on the southeast corner of the intersection at the time of the collision.
