Toronto events to celebrate National Aboriginal Day
The 20th annual National Aboriginal Day will be
celebrated in Toronto and across Canada on Saturday, June 21. National
Aboriginal Day is an opportunity to honour the heritage, contributions and
cultures of First Nation, Inuit and Métis communities.
The City of Toronto and the Toronto Aboriginal City
Celebration Committee are hosting related events from June 17 to 26 at the
locations noted below.
- Aboriginal Arts and Crafts Fair, June 17 from 11 a.m.
to 3 p.m.
Location: Nathan Phillips Square, 100 Queen St. W.
- Indigenous Arts Festival, June 20 to 22, 7:30 to 10
p.m.
Location: Fort York National Historic Site, 250 Fort York
Blvd.

- Sunrise Ceremony and Flag Raising, June 21 at 5:30 a.m.
Location: City Hall podium roof, 100 Queen St. W.
- Na-Me-Res Pow Wow, June 21, with grand entry at noon
