The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made in a Firearms and Drug Trafficking investigation.
On Thursday, June 6, 2024, members of the 51 Division Major Crime Unit executed two search warrants in the Church Street and Dundas Street East area.
The following items were seized:
- four prohibited firearms
- 833 rounds of ammunition
- bulletproof vest
- taser
- various amounts of fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin
Daniel Deris, 21, of Toronto has been arrested and charged with:
- four counts of Possess Restricted or Prohibited Firearm without Licence
- four counts of Possess Unloaded Regulated Firearm
- four counts of Possess Prohibited/Restr
icted Weapon No Authority - six counts of Possess Prohibited/Restr
icted Prohibited Device Knowning No Authority - four counts of Possess Prohibited/Restr
icted Prohibited Device Knowning No Authority - four counts of Store Fiream Carelessly
- six counts of Possess Weapon Dangerous to Public
- Store Ammunition Carelessly
- five counts of Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
He was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 10 a.m., in room 402.
