The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of a homicide investigation.
On Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at approximately 12:30 p.m., police responded to an unknown trouble in the Shuter Street and Sherbourne Street area.
It is alleged that:
- following an altercation a female victim was seriously injured
- life saving measures were commenced on scene, and the victim was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries
- on Friday, August 25, 2023, the victim succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at hospital.
The victim has been identified as Fadumo Hassan, 29, of no fixed address.
Mireille Pardieu, 27, of no fixed address, has been arrested and charged with:
- Second Degree Murder
She is scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice, 10 Armoury Street, on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 9 a.m., in room 202.
Police believe there are numerous witnesses to this incident. Anyone who was in the area of Shuter Street and Sherbourne Street on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at approximately 12:15 p.m., and observed any type of altercation, is asked to contact investigators.
