20th Anniversary of Black History Month for the Service - The Power of Choice - January 30, 2014

This year marks the 20th anniversary celebrations of Black History Month for the Service. The theme this year is the “THE POWER OF CHOICE”. Personal freedom comes from acknowledging the choices we make and gaining more control over our lives. We should all think about the possible outcomes of the different choices we have, remembering that every choice we make ends up with an outcome. Every choice produces a result and we all need to accept the responsibility for the choices we make. The power of choice gives us the opportunity to discover, explore and choose possibilities in our lives far beyond our present expectations.

BHM 2014 for the Service will focus on the choices many have made in their lives and will incorporate Service members who contribute on and off duty, organizations, community groups, charities and youth.
