The Toronto Police Service is notifying the public of an arrest made in a Sexual Assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
- on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, a woman was walking her dog in the Seaton Street and Gerrard Street East area
- the accused began to follow the woman
- the accused sexually assaulted the victim
- members of the public confronted the accused
- police attended and the accused was placed under arrest
Wesley Nyarko, 28, of Toronto has been charged with:
- Sexual Assault
- Breach of probation Order
He was scheduled to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Wednesday July 31, 2024, at 10 a.m., in room 106.
Police believe there may be more victims. An image of the suspect has been released.
