The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of arrests made in a drug trafficking and firearm investigation.
On Saturday, May 6, 2023, officers arrested two men in the Kingston Road and Main Street area.
It is alleged that:
- during the arrest, one of the men was found to be in possession of a firearm with ammunition
On that same day, Saturday, May 6, 2023, a Criminal Code search warrant was executed in the Bayview Avenue and Front Street East area.
It is further alleged that:
- while executing the warrant another firearm was located
Brett White, 42, of Toronto, was arrested and has been charged with:
- two counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- three counts of Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Careless Storage of a Firearm
He was scheduled to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at 10 a.m. in courtroom 206.
Anthony Trujillo, 27 of Toronto, was arrested and has been charged with:
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon
- Occupy Motor Vehicle With Firearm
- Careless Storage of A Firearm
- Carless Storage of Ammunition
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Alter Firearm to Become Automatic
- Possess Firearm With Altered Serial Number
- Possession of a Unloaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Possess Prohibited/Restricted Device (Overcapacity Magazine) While Not Authorized
He was scheduled to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at 10 a.m. in courtroom 205.
