The Toronto Police Service's 51 Division Major Crime Unit has made three arrests and seized thousands of dollars in cash, a firearm and a large amount of fentanyl.
Officers began a drug investigation in the Charles Street and Jarvis Street area where police had previously responded to several suspected overdoses.
Detective Abdullah Nuri, of 51 Division Major Crime Unit, advised his officers were granted a search warrant which resulted in three arrests and the alleged seizure of body armour, a hand gun with ammunition and silencer, a taser, over $4000 in Canadian currency and drugs with an estimated street value of $200,000.
Totals of the drugs seized:
- Fentanyl - 914.12 grams
