Traffic Fatality 31/2020, Cherry Street and Mill Street

On Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at 12:40 p.m., police received a report of a collision between a motor vehicle and a pedestrian at Mill Street and Cherry Street.
It is reported that:
- a 64-year-old man was operating a 2001 Mack Cement Truck eastbound on Mill Street at Cherry Street
- a 67-year-old woman was crossing Cherry Street going from the west side to the east side
- the cement truck made a right turn, striking the woman who was in the crosswalk
- she suffered significant injuries and succumbed to her injuries at the scene
The investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services.
Police are asking local residents, business, and drivers, who may have security or dash-camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
