Homicides #44/2017 and #45/2017, Cherry Street and Polson Street area

On Sunday, October 1, 2017, at 3:12 a.m., police responded to a shooting in the Cherry Street and Polson Street area.

It is reported that:

- two men had been shot

- officers arrived and located one man without vital signs

- he was pronounced at the scene

- a second man was found with life-threatening injuries

- he was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries

Investigators must notify next-of-kin before they are able to identify the deceased.
