Assistance sought with Attempted Murder/ Aggravated Assault investigation, Queen Street East and Sherbourne Street area

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance with an Attempt Murder/Aggravated Assault investigation.
It is reported that:
- on Friday, August 19, 2016, at around 7:30 p.m., a large group of people was hanging around the south side of a hockey arena near Queen Street East and Sherbourne Street area.
- a 35-year-old man was assaulted by the group
During the assault, police believe he sustained a life-threatening injury after being struck on the head with a large blunt object
Police have laid charges in relation to this incident.
Investigators are requesting that anyone who witnessed this incident, or who was in the area at the time, or anyone with information regarding this incident, come forward and speak with police.
