On Saturday, March 7, 2015, the International Women’s Day Committee will be holding a march in the downtown core to celebrate “International Women’s Day.”
At 11 a.m., the participants will meet in the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at 252 Bloor Street West. At 1 p.m., the participants will form up on Bloor Street West and will then proceed along the following route:
- Formation Area: Bloor Street West opposite of 252 (eastbound lanes)
- East bound: Bloor Street West (eastbound lanes)
- Southbound: Yonge Street Half Roadway (southbound lanes)
- Eastbound: Gerrard Street Half Road (eastbound lanes)
- Southbound: Church Street Half Road (southbound lanes)
- Westbound: Gould Street full Road
- Dispersal Area: Gould Street Jorgenson Hall (Ryerson)
It is anticipated that the event will be concluded by 2:30 p.m. Rolling or temporary lane closures will occur during this event.
Motorists can expect delays in the area and should consider alternate methods of transportation.
The TTC will be given special consideration and allowed to cross through gaps at the following locations:
- Yonge Street and College/Carlton Streets (for east and west TTC)
- Wellesley Street and Yonge Street (for east and west TTC)
- Bay Street and Bloor Street (for north and south TTC)
