On Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., in the media gallery at police headquarters, Toronto Crime Stoppers will be joined by Chief William Blair and its corporate partners to launch a new retail theft campaign.

Long seen as a victimless crime, retail theft is a lucrative criminal enterprise that costs Canadian retailers almost $4 billion a year. By combining public awareness with a coordinated enforcement approach, it is hoped this campaign will have a significant impact on retail crime rates.

The campaign, courtesy of DDB Canada, will be seen in retail locations across the city and heard on local radio stations.

Crime Stoppers can be reached anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), online at www.222tips.com, text TOR and your message to CRIMES (274637), or Leave A Tip on Facebook. Download the free Crime Stoppers Mobile App on iTunes, Google Play or Blackberry App World.
