Personal Injury Collision #19/2019, King Street East and Parliament Street

On Sunday, March 17, 2019, at 6:32 a.m., police responded to a call for a Personal Injury Collision that occurred on King Street East, just west of Parliament Street.

It is reported that:

- a 23-year-old man was driving a Nissan, travelling eastbound King Street East approaching Parliament Street

- the driver of the vehicle lost control, mounting the south curb, striking a tree and then a concrete hydro pole

- as a result of the collision, the vehicle caught fire

- the driver sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital

Police are asking local residents, business, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.

The Toronto Police Service is currently investigating numerous reports of a suspicious incident in the Bloor Street West and Sherbourne Street area.

It is reported that:

- a man has been approaching girls in the area and requesting their phone numbers and social media information

- the man has also offered the girls rides in his car

The man is described as black, mid-twenties to early thirties and driving a four-door sedan.
