The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest made in a threatening investigation.
It is alleged that:
- on Saturday, November 26, 2022 to Sunday, November 27, 2022, multiple on-line threats were made to Metropolitan University community members
On Monday, November 28, 2022, a search warrant was executed with the Hamilton Police Service's Tactical Unit. Multiple electronic devices were seized and a man was arrested.
Usman Suhrwardy, 39, of Hamilton, was arrested and charged with:
- 23 counts of Uttering Threats/Death or Bodily Harm
- three counts of Harassment by Threatening Conduct to Other Person
He was scheduled to appear in court at College Park Courts on Tuesday, November 28, 2022 at 10 a.m.
