Three arrested in Shooting Investigation, Lombard Street and Church Street, One man outstanding

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a shooting investigation.

On Monday, August 5, 2019, at approximately 4:16 a.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the Lombard Street and Church Street area.

- a vehicle pulled up to a group of people and an occupant from inside the vehicle fired several shots and wounded the men

- the vehicle then fled the scene

Members of 51 Division, Major Crime Unit, commenced an investigation. On Wednesday, August 7, 2019, three men were arrested.

Yasin Bassey, 27, Khumane Agil, 40, both of Toronto, and Mohamed Mahdi, 29, of Brampton, have been charged with:

1. three counts of Attempt Murder
2. Discharge with Intent
3. Unauthorized possession in a motor vehicle
4. Unauthorized possession of a firearm
5. Careless Storage of a Firearm
6. Possession of a Firearm Knowing Its Possession is Unauthorized

They were scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Thursday, August 8, 2019, at 10 a.m.

The Toronto police Service is requesting the assistance of the public in locating a man who is still outstanding and wanted. He has been identified as Hassan Hassan, 27, of Toronto. His photograph has been released. He is wanted for:

1. three counts of Attempt Murder
2. Discharge with Intent
3. Unauthorized possession in a motor vehicle
4. Unauthorized possession of a firearm
5. Careless Storage of a Firearm
6. Possession of a Firearm Knowing Its Possession is Unauthorized

Members of the public area advised to use caution and not to approach this man. He is considered armed and dangerous.
