The Toronto Police Service's French Consultative Committee will host the International Francophonie Day event on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at 11 a.m., in the main lobby at headquarters.

Dr. Éric Pierre, Honorary Consul, Consulate of the Republic of Haiti, will be the keynote speaker for the event. Odette Gough, news anchor, Téléjournal Ontario de Radio Canada, will serve as master of ceremonies.

This is the third year the International Francophonie Day will be celebrated at Toronto Police Service headquarters. International Francophonie Day was founded by the International Organization of La Francophonie on March 20, 1970. March 20 is now accepted as the day on which to celebrate the diverse francophone cultures of the world.

Le Comité consultatif communautaire francophone du Service de Police de Toronto célébrera
la Journée internationale de la francophonie, le mercredi, 20 mars, 2013, U 11 h, dans le Hall
central du Quartier général du Service de la Police de Toronto, 40 rue College.

Dr. Éric Pierre, Consul honoraire de la république d’Haiti, sera le conférencier pour
l'événement.

Odette Gough, chef d’antenne au Téléjournal Ontario de Radio Canada, sera la maitresse de
cérémonies.

Ceci est la troisi me année que la Journée internationale de la Francophonie est célébrée au si ge social du Service de Police de Toronto. La Journée internationale de la Francophonie a été fondée par l'Organisation internationale de la Francophonie le 20 mars 1970. Le 20 mars est maintenant accepté comme le jour de la célébration des diverses cultures francophones dans le monde.
