The Toronto Police Service has arrested a man for possession of drugs and administer a noxious thing.

On Thursday, February 4, 2021, police began an investigation in the St. Lawrence Street and King Street area.

It is alleged:

- a man and woman were in an apartment
- when the woman went to leave the man offered her a 'smoothie-type' drink, which she drank
- the woman then woke hours later feeling disorientated and confused
- she left and went to the hospital where tests confirmed she had drugs in her system
- the woman reported it to police

51 Division launched an investigation and obtained a search warrant. A quantity of suspected drugs were recovered.

Ali Stanley, 33, of Toronto, was arrested. He is facing the following seven charges:

1. Administer Noxious Thing Intent to Endanger Life
2. Breach of Probation
3. five counts of Unlawfully possess Schedule I Substances (Cocaine, Methylphenidate, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Codeine)

He was scheduled to attend court on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 2 p.m., Old City Hall, 60 Queen Street West, Room 103.
