Man sought in ongoing Assault and Sexual Assault investigation, Dundas Street East and River Street area, Update, Neville Blake, 30, arrested, faces four charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in an ongoing Sexual Assault investigation into an occurence in the Dundas Street East and River Streetarea.

On Monday, October 17, 2016, in the evening, officers were conducting a community patrol when they were asked to attend to an injured woman.

It is alleged that:

- a man driving a white SUV approached a female sex-trade worker standing on the sidewalk

- she got into the car and was driven to a secluded area

- a violent struggle ensued

- the woman was choked then sexually assaulted

- she was able to escape while the man drove away

The man is described as black, early 40s, bald, clean-shaven. 

Police believe the man to be violent and dangerous. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

On Saturday, September 9, 2017, Neville Blake, 30, of Whitby, was arrested. He is now charged with:

1) Sexual assault causing bodily harm
2) Forcible confinement
3) Choking, overcome resistance
4) Uttering death threats

He was scheduled to appear in court at College Park, on Monday, September 11, 2017, 10 a.m., room 501.
