The enforcement of the city’s rush-hour routes, and other traffic and parking offences, continues to be a priority for the Toronto Police Service.

From Monday July 31, 2017, to Friday August 4, 2017, the Service launched a heightened rush-hour route enforcement campaign that focused on traffic congestion and gridlock.

Parking Enforcement Officers and members from Traffic Services saturated the downtown core during morning and afternoon rush hours.

Rush-hour route enforcement campaign results:

Parking tickets issued: 1,714
Vehicles towed: 382
Traffic tickets issued: 80

"Rush-hour routes that are clear of parked vehicles contribute to an efficient, liveable and safe city. TPS Parking Enforcement will continue to allocate resources and enforcement to where it is needed most to reduce gridlock and congestion," said Brian Moniz of Parking Enforcement.
