Mural unveiling at Toronto's Underpass Park

Representatives of the City of Toronto and Mural Routes will gather with prominent street artists on Monday for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration of the murals that have beautified Underpass Park in east downtown Toronto.

Date: Monday, July 13
Time: 4 to 6 p.m., ribbon cutting at 4:45 p.m.
Location: Underpass Park (south of King Street East at Lower River Street)

Labrona and Troy Lovegates created the artwork on five roadside pillars through the StreetARToronto Underpass Program. More than 20 artists participated in this legacy project, which has transformed 23 pillars in the urban park under the Adelaide Street/Richmond Street/Eastern Avenue overpasses.

Key partners in the initiative include StreetARToronto, Mural Routes, Corktown Residents and Business Association, and Friends of the Pan Am Path.
