Town Hall - The Future of the Gardiner East

Town Hall - The Future of the Gardiner East

On May 13th, the Public Works and Infrastructure Committee will consider the question of whether the 1.7 km stretch of the Gardiner east of Jarvis should be removed and combined with Lakeshore Boulevard, or whether it should be maintained but modified by the removal of the Logan ramps and construction of new ramps at Cherry Street (the hybrid option).

This decision will have a significant impact on the east downtown and the development of the waterfront.

On Monday, May 4th, come and join a community conversation about how City Council should make that decision.

Monday, May 4th
Open House: 6:30 - 7 PM, Town Hall meeting 7 - 9 PM
St. Lawrence Hall, 157 King St E (at Jarvis St)

Former City of Toronto Chief Planner Paul Bedford, waterfront design expert Ken Greenberg and renowed architect Michael Kirkland will offer insight and commentary.

If you haven't attended a public meeting on this issue, you can learn more at www.gardinereast.ca

This event is being hosted by Deputy Mayor Pam McConnell, Ward 28 Toronto Centre-Rosedale, and the West Don Lands Committee. Please contact councillor_mcconnell@toronto.ca for more information.
