Man wanted for Attempting to Disarm Police Officer, Brian Christopher Hutchings, 29, Photograph of man released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance locating a wanted man.

It is alleged that:

- on Sunday, April 7, 2013, police attempted to arrest a man at 375 Bleecker Street
- as the officers approached, the man threw a bicycle at the officers and a violent struggle ensued
- the man attempted to disarm both officers and escaped from the officers

Both officers were injured and required hospital treatment. One officer was released while the second officer has been admitted for observation.

An arrest warrant has been obtained for Brian Christopher Hutchings, 29, of no fixed address.

He is described as white, 5’9”, 180 lbs., with short brown hair and green eyes.

He is wanted for:

1. two counts of Assaulting a Peace Officer

2. two counts of Assault with intent to resist arrest
3. two counts of Disarming a Peace Officer
4. Escape from Lawful Custody
5. Possession of Marijuana (under)

He is considered dangerous. Do not approach.
