The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance locating a man wanted in an Assault investigation.
On Monday, July 15, 2024, police responded to a call for an Assault in the Sherbourne Avenue and Wellesley Street area.
It is alleged that:
- on Saturday, June 8, 2024, the victim was approached by the suspect
- the suspect grabbed the victim's phone and damaged it
It is further alleged that:
- on Saturday, July 13, 2024, the victim was approached by the suspect
- the suspect then assaulted the victim
- the suspect and victim are known to one another
Jose Guillermo Monterossa Rivas, 38, is wanted for:
- three counts of Assault
- five counts Fail to Comply Release Order
- Criminal Harassment
- Theft Under $5000
The man is described as being 5'5", with a medium build and long black hair.
