The TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon is taking place from Saturday, October 19, to Sunday, October 20, 2024. On Saturday, October 19, a 5 km Run/Walk will take place, followed by a full and half marathon on Sunday, October 20.
To facilitate this event, several road closures will be in effect.
Road closures for Friday, October 18, 2024, starting at 6 p.m. (pre-event set-up at finish line area)
- Bay Street; from Dundas Street West to Queen Street West
- Hagerman Street; from Elizabeth Street to Bay Street
- Elizabeth Street; from Dundas Street West to Hagerman Street
- Albert Street; from Bay Street to James
The streets are scheduled to re-open on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 8 p.m.
Road closures for Saturday, October 19, 2024, starting at 5 a.m.
- University Avenue; from Dundas Street West to Wellington Street West
- Armoury Street; from Chestnut Street to University Avenue
- Wellington Street West; from University Avenue to Bay Street
- Bay Street; from Queen Street West to Lake Shore Boulevard West
- Lake Shore Boulevard West; from Bay Street to Spadina Avenue
These streets are scheduled to re-open on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 12 p.m.
Road closures for Sunday, October 20, 2024 starting at 5 a.m.
- University Avenue; from Bloor Street West to Wellington Street West
- Bloor Street West; from Bathurst Street to Avenue Road
- Bathurst Street; from Bloor Street West to Lake Shore Boulevard West
- Lake Shore Boulevard West; from Windermere Avenue to Bay Street
- Lake Shore Blvd West; from Bay Street to Spadina Avenue
- Bay Street; from Dundas Street West to Lake Shore Boulevard West
- Wellington Street West; from Bay Street to Front Street East
- Front Street East; from Church Street to Bayview Avenue

- Lake Shore Blvd off ramp (west end) - OPEN (EB Lake Shore closed at Windermere until 1:30 p.m)
- Jameson Ave. off ramp - CLOSED (4 a.m.-1:30 p.m.)
- Jameson Ave on ramp - NO ACCESS UNTIL 1:30 p.m.
- British Columbia Dr. on ramp - NO ACCESS FROM Lake Shore UNTIL 1:30 p.m. (access available from Exhibition Place)
- Spadina Ave off ramp - OPEN (Spadina off ramp exit gate will be opened to allow cars to enter on to the EB Lake Shore)
- Rees St on ramp - OPEN
- Bay St on ramp - OPEN
- Jarvis St on ramp - UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Westbound
- Lake Shore Blvd off ramp (west end) - OPEN

- Spadina Ave on ramp - Access to FGX OPEN, Lake Shore CLOSED (4 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.)
- Spadina Ave off ramp - Access to Spadina Ave OPEN, Lake Shore OPEN
- York St on ramp - OPEN, access from north of Lake Shore up until 1:30 p.m.
- Yonge St/Bay St off Ramp - CLOSED (6 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.)
