Members of the Toronto Police Service will be joining community group B.A.S.S.I.C (Bringing An Awareness of Senior Safety Issues To The Community) for the launch of its 2023 Safe Seniors Calendar on Wednesday November 16, 2022, at 9 a.m., at the Regent Park Community Centre, 402 Shuter Street.
B.A.S.S.I.C is a partnership between police, fire, government agencies and community groups dedicated to making seniors safer in the community. With the support of the Insurance Bureau of Canada, over 40,000 calendars will be distributed to seniors across the GTA, free of charge.
The calendar features a different safety message each month including safe driving, elder abuse prevention, mental health, emergency preparedness, fire prevention and much more. It also contains a comprehensive resource list with telephone and website addresses, to make sourcing additional information even easier.
