Arrest in Sexual Assault investigation, John Vialva, 61

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Friday, June 22, 2018, a clinical aid sexually assaulted a 62-year-old woman who was a patient at St. Michael’s Hospital

It is further alleged that:

- between Friday, May 10, 2019 and Sunday, September 1, 2019 a clinical aid sexually assaulted a 52-year-old woman patient at St. Michael’s Hospital

On Wednesday, March 4, 2020, John Vialva, 61, of Toronto, surrendered to police. He was arrested and charged with:

1. three counts of Sexual Assault

He is scheduled to appear in court at College Park Courts on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at 10 a.m.

John Vialva worked as a clinical aid at St. Michael's Hospital from 2016 until December, 2019. Prior to that he worked in the Palliative Care unit, also at St. Michael’s.
