City of Toronto Media Relations has issued the following:

Partial closure of Lower Sherbourne Street until June

The northbound lanes of Lower Sherbourne from Lake Shore Boulevard to Front Street will be closed from April 6 to June 15 for road construction and to make modifications to the intersection of the westbound Gardiner Expressway ramp to Sherbourne Street.

Northbound traffic on Lower Sherbourne Street will be diverted to Parliament Street and Lower Jarvis Street during the construction period. One lane of southbound traffic on Lower Sherbourne Street will be maintained.

Pedestrian access will be provided on the west side of Lower Sherbourne Street when work is taking place on the east side of the road. That will be reversed when work takes place on the west side of the road. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained.

Work on this project will pause during the Pan Am Games, when the site will be cleaned up and all lanes of traffic will be restored. Work will resume following the conclusion of the Games.
