Toronto residents and businesses invited to attend CIBC Pan Am Athletes' Village information session
Toronto residents, who live in the vicinity of the CIBC Pan Am/Parapan Am Athletes' Village (West Don Lands - 409 Front Street East), and local businesses, are invited to the St. Lawrence Community Recreation Centre on Wednesday, February 11for drop-in information sessions to learn more about how their community may be affected by the Games.
These drop-in sessions will provide tips, tools and information to help residents and local businesses get around during the Games.
Athletes’ Village Games Drop-in Information Session for Local Businesses
Date: Wednesday, February 11
Location: St. Lawrence Community Recreation Centre, 230 The Esplanade
Time: 3-5 p.m., drop-in

Date: Wednesday, February 11
Location: St. Lawrence Community Recreation Centre, 230 The Esplanade
Time: 6-8 p.m., drop-in

Note: Space for both sessions is limited; groups are encouraged to send representation.
These drop-in sessions are hosted by the Pan Am Transportation Team (PATT), comprised of representatives from the Ministry of Transportation, the Integrated Security Unit (ISU), the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games Organizing Committee (TO2015), the Toronto Transit Commission and the City of Toronto.
This summer, Ontario will host the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games. This will be the largest international sporting event ever hosted in Canada.
Toronto will host several competition and non-competition venues, including the CIBC Pan Am/Parapan Am Athletes' Village in the West Don Lands, an 80-acre site next to the Don River in Toronto’s waterfront district. The Village will be the Games-time home for 10,000 athletes, coaches and team officials, and will incorporate a full range of services and amenities.
A key legacy of the Games, the Village will become a dynamic mixed-use neighbourhood with affordable housing, new condominiums, a YMCA and a dormitory for George Brown College students after the Games.
