Toronto Crime Stoppers launches retail theft campaign

In time for the holiday shopping season, Toronto Crime Stoppers has launched a retail theft campaign to raise awareness about shoplifting.

Retail theft has become a lucrative criminal enterprise, costing Canadian retailers almost $4 billion a year in lost revenue. These costs are passed on to consumers with higher prices on frequently purchased products.

The awareness campaign, consisting of posters, flyers, radio spots and website www.ItCostsUsAll.com, was created in partnership with DDB Canada and will be displayed in retail locations across the city.

Toronto Crime Stoppers would like to thank the following corporate partners for their support of this program:

It is hoped this proactive campaign will educate consumers by bringing awareness to the issue of organized retail crime and encourage the public to contact Crime Stoppers to report suspected cases of shoplifting.
