City of Toronto's third Street Needs Assessment event

Wednesday April 17 will be the City of Toronto's third Street Needs Assessment event.  It combines a census of the number of homeless people in Toronto with a 13 question survey of homeless people.  It was previously done in April 2006 and April 2009.

The City needs volunteers aged 18 and over to participate. As a volunteer you will gain more understanding of homelessness in Toronto, and will be helping to provide a voice for the most vulnerable in our community.

Participation in the Street Needs Assessment provides volunteers with valuable perspective on the plight of the homeless.  Volunteers will also experience first hand   the challenging - and often rewarding - work that City staff, and partners - including the Toronto Police Service - do to ensure that everyone has opportunity in our city.
