Sexual Assault Alert, Parliament Street and Howard Street area, Update, Kyle Michael Junior Young, 25, faces seven charges, Police believe there may be other victims

On Sunday, April 10, 2016, the Toronto Police Service alerted the public to a Sexual Assault investigation and requested the public’s assistance identifying the man wanted.

On Saturday, April 9, 2016, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a call for a sexual assault in the Parliament Street and Howard Street area.

It is alleged that:

- a 52-year-old woman was in an elevator in an apartment building
- she was approached by a man
- the man displayed a handgun and directed the woman to leave the elevator
- she was forced to the stairwell where she was sexually assaulted
- the man fled the building

On Tuesday, April 19, 2016, Kyle Michael Junior Young, 25, of no fixed address, was arrested. He was charged with:

1) Sexual Assault with a Weapon
2) Uttering Threats
3) Use of Firearm During Commission of Indictable Offence
4) Point Firearm
5) Possession of Firearm knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
6) Careless Use of Firearm
7) Carry Concealed Weapon

He was scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, 10 a.m.

Police believe there may be other victims.
