The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation.
On Saturday, February 27, 2016, officers began an investigation into a sexual assault in the Carlton Street and Sherbourne Street area.
It is reported that:
- a 20-year-old woman went to an apartment to gather some items
- a man answered the door
- she was invited in to wait
- she was approached by the man and sexually assaulted
- she was able to escape
On Tuesday, April 12, 2016, Juan Solórzano Sanclemente, 20, of Toronto, was arrested. He is now charged with:
1) Sexual Assault
2) two counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance
3) two counts of Possession of Proceeds of Crime
4) Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Controlled Substance
He appeared in court at Old City Hall, on Wednesday April 13, 2016, 10 a.m., room 103.
Police believe there may be other victims.
